Top notch eatery, the dishes are all quite simple but full of flavour. There is maturity and confidence in a menu like that. The highlight of our meal was the deep fried bread and butter pudding with cold custard - mmmm yes please!
I turned up at this place with no reservation on a Sunday and was accommodated in no time the the lovely lady at the door. They have very polite and nice staff. The drinks menu had an extensive choice of beverages and good selection of wine. The food was delicious, the beef with chips had a delicious peppercorn sauce. The bread and butter pudding was very tasty!
Its unusual location makes it more of a special place . So many restaurants can trade just because of their location. The service is a bit informal , this is not a posh place, but more of a friendly one. The food is great and you can see Chefs cooking , which put some atmosphere in the room. The Guinness is bread is very special because it is not often you can eat some bread like this. I loved the onglet , perfectly well cooked . They have a nice wine list, nice Sauvignon blanc and Shiraz .
Anniversary dinner and we had a fabulous evening. Modern restaurant with open kitchen. The staff were friendly and attentive. Fabulous wine list. We had the Nita 2022 a red from Georgia. Velvety bliss. The apéritif’s weren’t far off. My wife had the white port and I lived the Lillet & tonic. Food was fantastic. Amazing roast beetroot and mince/ horseradish on sourdough. Mains I had a sublime veal special and my wife the star onglet. On a roll we had the recommended bread & butter pudding. Me a divine, large chocolate/ olive oil mousse. The food was cooked to perfection and the staff all looked passionate about being the best. And everyone was smiling. And thank you for the complimentary anniversary night cap.
