Boat of Garten is a picturesque village in the Cairngorms, nicknamed the 'Osprey Village' due to the nearby Loch Garten osprey nest, where these birds have bred since the 1950s. The village has a championship golf course set against mountain views, and its railway station is a stop on the Strathspey Railway heritage line, offering steam train rides to Aviemore. Visitors can enjoy walking and cycling routes, visit the RSPB Loch Garten nature reserve for osprey viewing (spring to summer), and relax in the local pub or café.
