The Spice Bazaar, also known as the Egyptian Bazaar, has been a center for exotic spices and delicacies since the 1660s. Located in the Eminönü district, its vaulted L-shaped corridor is lined with stalls piled high with saffron, sumac, dried peppers, and lokum (Turkish delight). The market buzzes with vendors offering samples of nuts, cheeses, and olive oils, while the scent of cinnamon and cloves mingles with the nearby sea breeze. Beyond spices, visitors find herbal teas, honey, and traditional sweets, making it a sensory feast and a perfect spot to buy edible souvenirs.
