Galata Tower

Galata Tower is a 14th-century Genoese watchtower that dominates the skyline of Istanbul's Beyoğlu district. Standing 67 meters tall, it offers one of the best panoramic views of the city, including the Golden Horn, the Bosphorus, and the historic peninsula. Visitors ascend by elevator to the upper floors, where a 360-degree observation deck provides stunning photo opportunities. A bit of history

Built in 1348 by the Genoese colony as part of the fortifications of Galata, it was originally called Christea Turris. After the Ottoman conquest, it served various purposes, including a fire watchtower and a prison.
