The Sphinx Observatory is a research station and observation deck perched atop the Jungfraujoch, Europe's highest railway station at 3,454 meters. It is part of the Jungfrau Railway complex and features a large panoramic terrace that provides 360-degree views of the surrounding Alps, including the Aletsch Glacier, the longest glacier in Europe. Inside, the observatory houses a meteorological station and telescopes used for atmospheric research. Visitors can take a high-speed elevator from the Jungfraujoch complex to the terrace. The experience is breathtaking, with the crisp mountain air and the vast expanse of ice and rock. It's a prime spot for photography, especially at sunrise or sunset.
