Mönch is a striking mountain in the Bernese Alps, standing at 4,107 meters. It is part of the famous trio of peaks along with the Eiger and Jungfrau, forming a dramatic backdrop for the Lauterbrunnen Valley. The mountain's name means 'monk' in German, and its silhouette is distinct with a sharp summit. While not as technically challenging as the Eiger, it is a popular climb for experienced mountaineers.
