Serra de Na Burguesa is a low mountain range forming the western boundary of Palma's urban area. Despite its proximity to the city, it offers a rugged natural escape with several hiking and mountain biking trails. The highest point, Puig de Na Burguesa (about 500 meters), provides sweeping views over Palma, the Bay of Palma, and the Tramuntana mountains. The terrain is characterized by limestone rock formations, Mediterranean scrub, and pine forests. Along the trails, you may encounter old quarries, military bunkers, and the remains of prehistoric settlements. It's a popular spot for locals seeking a quick nature getaway.
