The Royal Tombs in Songsan-ri are a group of earthen burial mounds from the Baekje kingdom, located in Gongju. The most famous is the Tomb of King Muryeong, discovered intact in 1971 with over 2,900 artifacts, including a gold crown and jewelry. Visitors can enter a replica of the tomb to see the brick chamber and learn about Baekje burial practices. The site offers a glimpse into the opulence and artistry of the ancient kingdom, set in a peaceful wooded area.
