Gongsanseong is a historic mountain fortress from the Baekje period, its stone and earthen walls stretching along a ridge above Gongju. Visitors can walk the ramparts, passing restored gates and pavilions, while enjoying sweeping views of the city and the Geumgang River below. The site includes the royal palace site and a small museum with artifacts. It's a peaceful place to imagine ancient defenses and daily life, with cherry blossoms in spring adding color.
