✨ Highlightf you're looking to experience authentic Romanian cuisine in a charming setting, Zexe is a solid choice. Located in a lovely area of Bucharest, this restaurant makes a great first impression with its beautiful, classic building. Even the closed terrace, designated for smokers, feels thoughtfully set up and comfortable. The food at Zexe stays true to traditional Romanian flavors and leaves little to be desired. I'd highly recommend trying the wild boar sarmale and the sausages, which were both standouts. Every dish is clearly crafted with care, honoring traditional recipes that let the ingredients shine without excessive embellishment. What also stood out was the service. The staff was attentive throughout the meal, always ensuring our experience was enjoyable without being intrusive. It’s a pleasure to find a place where the service complements the dining experience as well as it does at Zexe. For an authentic and enjoyable taste of Romania, Zexe is definitely worth a visit!→

✨ HighlightCasa Doina is an elegant restaurant, tradițional and with a professional service. There is a good choice for food and wines but to be honest the food is not the reason to comeback. Spare ribs were very dry and lamb chops was hard. Pork neck was better but in general, I'm sorry I will not book again waiting for two weeks→

✨ HighlightCossy place for a real Romanian experience. The staff is quick and friendly. Th menu is clear and well made making it easy to choose. They also have nice vegetarian options which I didn't try. The meatball soup was excellent and I really enjoyed the beetroot horseradish salad, nice and spicy in a horseradish way. It was a warm and flavorful experience. Thanks Vatra.→

✨ HighlightOk so, the restaurant is beautiful, the staff are kind and friendly, but all in all the food is mediocre at best, the pasta (at least those with white sauce) are an agonizing experience, resembling more of a soup with noodles than a proper pasta dish. The risotto is pretty good and the burgers are average, though I could not recommend anything with fish. TLDR the food isnt good but the place looks nice, the staff is great. This place might be a good spot for drinks!→

✨ HighlightFirst of all, i arrived by myself on a quiet hour for dinner and had one of the best welcomes at a restaurant. The gentleman working there was excellent. Then because the traditional menu had no translation, I asked for a recommendation and was not even let to finish the sentence. In less than 10 minutes a juicy lettuce salad and an equally juicy plate of veal filets with gravy and oven potatoes was on the table. Needless to say how tasty it was. Also, I never thought that a Beck's beer would ever taste so good. Maybe that was because of the round ceramic jug that also kept it cool. Anyway there had to be a desert and that was also gracefully recommended. It was two pieces of an apple pie and a pear pie if I'm not mistaken, equally light and fresh that went so well with the last sips of the beer. There was no need for coffee. From the decoration of the restaurant you can understand that you are into one of those magical places, you understand this as soon as you get there. It is a classic place, remains totally present outside of time. But it also challenges your mind, makes it contemplate about history, and takes the imagination far.→
