Wielki Staw is the largest glacial lake in the Karkonosze, lying in a deep cirque surrounded by steep cliffs and moraines. Hikers reach it via marked trails from Karpacz, passing through alpine meadows and rocky terrain. The lake's emerald-green waters reflect the rugged peaks above, creating a serene yet majestic scene. Visitors can walk the shoreline, observe rare mountain flora, and enjoy panoramic views of the Sudetes range. It's a highlight of any trek in the Giant Mountains, offering a true sense of wilderness.
