Giant Mountains National Park (Karkonoski Park Narodowy) safeguards the highest part of the Sudetes, featuring tundra-like plateaus, deep valleys, and granite rock formations. Visitors can explore over 100 km of marked trails, including the route to Śnieżka (1,603 m), the range's highest peak. The park is home to endangered species such as the alpine marmot and the peregrine falcon. Distinctive sights include the Wielki Staw and Mały Staw glacial lakes, the Kamieńczyk Waterfall, and the unique dwarf pine zone. The park's visitor center in Karpacz offers educational exhibits on local geology and ecology.
