A bit of history
Flashman's Hotel was founded in 1888 by Charles Thomas Flashman. In 1917, ownership transferred to the Associated Hotels of India, led by Mohan Singh Oberoi. After the 1965 Indo-Pakistani War, the Pakistani government designated it an enemy asset, and it was later overseen by the Pakistan Tourism Development Corporation (PTDC) from 1976. As of 1999, it remained under PTDC while other hotels were privatized.
