One of the best Michelin starred restaurants I’ve ever had so far. I’m not putting up too many pictures only to save you the surprises when you visit the place yourself. Fabulous food combined with impeccable service, I don’t know what better I can get from an early summer visit.
Creative and delicious food, professional service, restaurant with good vibes … appreciate the sparkling juice recommendation from staff when they know that I don’t drink wine. Thank you!
Two people went there and ordered two sets of dinner (20000 JPY/set) and wine pairing (15000 JPY). Main dish 4 points: taste was awesome, especially oyster dish full of amazing and complex taste. Very good. Wine pairing 3 points: wine itself and pairing was good, but! But their wine glass smelled with smoky and oily (like BBQ oil smell). I am wine enthusiast. It is really a significant mistake on management!!! In first glass I thought the Chardonnay wine having oily smell, but I found something wrong when I smelled same scent in the next glasses of red wine. I had told waiter and sommelier after confirmed. And they did explain and apologize. However, since they can not express it in English, I don’t know exactly what the reason is and I don’t think this issue is acceptable in a Michelin two-stars restaurant. When we finished meal, we met Chief in stairs. He was busy at saying goodbye to Japanese customers. I don’t know he was aware of it or not. He just simply say thank you to us. Nobody asked us how about our comment on food today and apologize again on the unique smell of wine glass. The risk management in such high class restaurant was very very poor. Reception 2 points: why mentioned this. Normally this Michelin 2 star restaurant should have good service but after meal, Waiter helped every Japanese lady to get on their coat, but didn’t help my wife, they just pass the coat to her even didn’t pretend to help. Is it because they don’t treat us as their customer? Well, so I scored the reception here. Not sure if the restaurant only wants to serve to local people. Before going there, we just had a very good experience in a Michelin 2 star French restaurant in Osaka. Excellent cuisine and cordial service make us think it is worthy going there next time and recommending to our friends. However for Reminiscence, we don’t think so.
If there's any rating system in Nagoya, this restaurant must be in the top tier. Good service, good dishes, and good wine pairing. Using many Japanese ingredients to make the French style dishes, well infuse.
