I would call this French Fusion rather than strictly French. That said however eating at the Garden was the best dining experience my wife and I have had in Japan by far! The servers were solicitous and kind, answering our questions in great detail and smoothly replacing our drinks and silverware in an unobtrusive manner. They also had a server who spoke English well, and have us background on some of the more unique ingredients. The price point isn't such that we will be back frequently, but we do want to come back for special occasions!
Great place and great experience, of course it's pricey but you have fine dishes, quality ingredients and a good wine. Not only you have the standing of a high end experience but you can enjoy a real nice view.
Beautiful well maintain garden. Can see the japanese style buildings and the landscaping in the garden. The most interesting part and actractive part for me and my family members is the fish pond. You can spen a token of money to buy the fish bait and have fund in food feeding. Children will definately like and enjoy it. It was fund even we are all in adults.
I realize that it is quite difficult book a reservation at this restaurant, and with good reason. The garden offers such a beautiful view and gives the weary traveler a sense of peace. This coupled with five star grade food, will definitely equate to a memorable experience. It is quite pricey, even by Nagoya standards, but the dining experience more than makes up for that.
