The Church of San Domenico is one of Noto's most iconic Baroque landmarks, renowned for its unique convex facade that bulges outward, creating a dramatic play of light and shadow. Designed by architect Rosario Gagliardi, the church was built in the early 18th century as part of the Dominican order's complex. The facade is adorned with columns, niches, and statues, while the interior features a single nave with side chapels decorated with stucco and frescoes. The church's oval floor plan and elegant proportions make it a masterpiece of Sicilian Baroque. Located on Corso Vittorio Emanuele, it is a must-see for architecture enthusiasts. The adjacent former monastery now houses municipal offices, but the church remains a place of worship and is open to visitors.
