Kothandaramaswamy Temple is a revered Hindu shrine located on the southeastern tip of Pamban Island, near the ghost town of Dhanushkodi. Dedicated to Lord Rama, the temple is believed to date back centuries and survived the 1964 cyclone that devastated the area. Visitors can explore the main sanctum housing idols of Rama, Sita, Lakshmana, and Hanuman, and enjoy panoramic views of the Bay of Bengal and the Gulf of Mannar. The temple's remote setting, with the sea on three sides, creates a peaceful ambiance perfect for reflection. A short walk from the temple leads to the ruins of Dhanushkodi, adding historical depth to the visit.
