Place de la Carrière is an elegant, tree-lined square in Nancy, forming part of the UNESCO-listed ensemble with Place Stanislas. Originally a tiltyard for jousting and equestrian exercises, it now serves as a tranquil pedestrian zone. The square is flanked by 18th-century mansions and features a central alley of linden trees, with the Palais du Gouvernement at one end. Visitors can stroll along the gravel paths, admire the architecture, and enjoy a quieter alternative to the bustling Place Stanislas. It's a lovely spot for a leisurely walk or to sit on a bench and soak in the history.
