The Musée des Beaux-Arts de Nancy is a treasure trove of art, located in a former 18th-century convent near Place Stanislas. Founded in 1793, it is one of the oldest museums in France. Its collection spans from the 14th to the 21st century, with strong holdings in Italian, Flemish, and French paintings. Highlights include works by Caravaggio, Rubens, and Delacroix. The museum also features a significant collection of glasswork from the École de Nancy, as well as a gallery dedicated to Jean Prouvé, the renowned architect and designer. The building itself is a blend of historic architecture and modern extensions, including a striking glass atrium. Visitors can enjoy temporary exhibitions and a rooftop terrace with views of the city.
