Strolling along Cannes' glamorous Boulevard de la Croisette, you'll notice bronze plaques embedded in the pavement: the Chemin des Étoiles, or Path of Stars. Modeled after Hollywood's Walk of Fame, this tribute honors nearly 400 film personalities who have left their handprints and signatures. The plaques are set in the sidewalk in front of the Palais des Festivals, the iconic venue of the Cannes Film Festival. Visitors can spot prints of legends like Sophia Loren, Quentin Tarantino, and Pedro Almodóvar. Unlike its Hollywood counterpart, the Chemin des Étoiles features actual handprints pressed into cement, giving a tactile connection to cinema history. It's a free, self-guided walk that adds a touch of stardust to any visit to Cannes.
