The Pedestals of Biahmu are the surviving stone platforms that once supported two colossal quartzite statues of Pharaoh Amenhotep III, each originally towering around 18 meters high. Located in the fertile Fayoum area, these pedestals are carved from limestone and still bear traces of the statue bases. The site offers a tangible connection to the past, where visitors can see the precise stonework and imagine the statues in their full glory. The pedestals are a key feature of the Biahmu archaeological area, surrounded by farmland and quiet scenery.

Don't miss
