Shigatse Mosque serves as the spiritual heart of the local Muslim population, primarily Hui Chinese and Tibetan Muslims. The mosque's architecture is a unique fusion: a traditional Islamic prayer hall with a green dome and minarets, yet built with Tibetan-style whitewashed walls and wooden brackets.
