Vigia is a prominent mountain near Sal Rei that rewards hikers with sweeping views of the island's northern coast and the vast Atlantic Ocean. The ascent is moderate, passing through arid terrain with sparse vegetation. At the top, visitors can see the entire shoreline from Ponta do Sol to Sal Rei, as well as the island's interior plains and volcanic formations. It's a popular spot for sunrise or sunset, when the light casts dramatic colors over the landscape. The vantage point also provides a unique perspective on the island's geography.
