Deserto de Viana is an expansive area of wind-sculpted sand dunes located in the interior of Boa Vista, about 10 kilometers from Sal Rei. This arid landscape stretches for several kilometers, with dunes reaching up to 30 meters high. Visitors can hike across the soft sand, ride quad bikes along designated trails, or simply marvel at the stark beauty of the desert against the blue sky. The area is also home to unique flora and fauna adapted to the dry conditions. It's a dramatic contrast to the island's beaches and a must-see for adventure seekers.
