✨ HighlightThe Missus had a craving for biryani and we were always attracted to the highly bright sign of Hyderabad Biryani House. We had a delicious dinner of Chicken 65 semi dry, Chicken Dum Biryani, Chana Masala and buttered Naan. We ordered our dishes at medium spice level which we enjoyed except for the Chicken 65. We later learned from our server that a sauce is added to the Chicken 65 which we found was fire truck spicy hot. We also overheard from another server that South Indian food is very spicy and their mild with be a normal medium. The service was excellent and with the louder music, it made for a lively atmosphere. Albeit, sometimes it was hard to hear the Missus. However, we agreed the Chana Masala and Naan alone would make us return for another visit.→

✨ HighlightAmazing place. We went on a date to try Indian food for the first time and we loved it. The place is really nice but the service is really amazing. The waiters were really attentive and friendly and the owner came twice to our table to check how we were doing. The lamb and desert were our favourites We really recommend it.→

✨ HighlightWe decided to try Karma Indian Bistro since the Michelin Guide added Karma to its list in 2023. Overall, we thought it was okay compared to some of the award-winning South Asian restaurants in the US. There were way too many items on the menu. If the Michelin Guide recommends a restaurant, I would expect the restaurant to have a smaller menu. By offering fewer dishes, chefs can focus on perfecting each recipe. It isn't easy to achieve this with an extensive menu. We got two appetizers: the chicken 65 and the onion bhaji. The chicken 65 was tangy and flavorful; however, it was not spicy. According to my husband, the chicken 65 is supposed to be spicy (his predilection for South Asian food is strong, and he is very knowledgeable when it comes to the cuisine). The onion bhaji was delicious! It was nice and crispy. The lamb karahi was okay. It had a slight kick to it, which was nice. The lamb was cooked well. The vegetable jalfrezi was also okay. The flavors were subtle; I was hoping the flavors would be bolder. My husband thought the mango lassi was decent. It looked pretty. I am giving Karma three stars. It is on the Michelin Guide’s list, and I'm rating this restaurant based on other restaurants I have been to that are on the Michelin Guide’s list. The food should be more than “okay.” The restaurant should have a smaller, curated menu showcasing its culinary expertise.→
