The Britannia Mine Museum offers an immersive experience inside a former copper mine that operated from 1904 to 1974. Visitors ride a mine train deep into the mountain, learning about mining techniques and the lives of miners. Above ground, the museum features exhibits on mining history, a mineral gallery, and gold panning in a flume. The site's dramatic setting beside Howe Sound adds to the experience.
