Brackendale Eagles Provincial Park protects a critical winter roosting site for bald eagles along the Squamish River. From November to February, hundreds of eagles gather here to feed on spawning salmon, creating one of the highest-density eagle congregations in the world. Visitors can observe the birds from designated viewing areas along the riverbank, often seeing dozens perched in cottonwood trees or soaring overhead. The park itself is undeveloped, with no trails or facilities, emphasizing wildlife preservation. Distinctive for its spectacular eagle-watching opportunities in a natural river setting.
