Lake Gileppe is a picturesque reservoir located in the hills near Eupen, famous for its impressive dam and the striking stone lion statue that sits atop it. The lake is surrounded by lush forests and meadows, crisscrossed by walking trails that provide stunning views of the water and the dam. Visitors can walk along the dam crest to take in the panorama, or explore the nature trails that lead through the surrounding woodlands. The area is less crowded than Lake Eupen, offering a more serene experience. The dam itself is a notable structure, and the lion statue is a popular photo spot.
