The Radstädter Tauern Pass, at 1,738 meters, is a historic mountain pass connecting the Salzburg and Styria regions. The road winds through dramatic alpine scenery, with hairpin turns and panoramic views of the Tauern mountains. It's a popular route for drivers and motorcyclists seeking a thrilling journey, as well as cyclists who tackle the challenging ascent. The pass is also a gateway to hiking trails, including the Tauern High Trail, and offers several viewpoints and rest stops. In winter, the road is often closed due to snow, but in summer it's a highlight of any road trip.
