Moorbad Gmös is a protected nature reserve located just outside Gmunden, centered around a rare raised bog ecosystem. The area features well-maintained wooden boardwalks that allow visitors to explore the bog without damaging the delicate plant life. As you walk, you'll encounter a variety of specialized flora, including carnivorous sundews, cotton grass, and sphagnum moss. The reserve is also home to diverse bird species and insects, making it a haven for nature lovers and photographers. The trails are relatively flat and easy, suitable for all ages. Interpretive signs along the way explain the bog's formation and ecological importance.
