Laudachsee is a crystal-clear mountain lake nestled in a forested valley near Gmunden, part of the Salzkammergut region. Accessible via a scenic hiking trail, the lake offers a tranquil escape into nature. The water is clean and inviting for swimming on warm days, with a small grassy shore ideal for sunbathing. The surrounding forest provides shade and a habitat for wildlife, while the trail around the lake offers gentle walking with views of the water and mountains. Unlike larger tourist lakes, Laudachsee remains relatively quiet, making it a favorite among locals and hikers. The hike to the lake from the nearest parking area takes about 45 minutes to an hour, winding through woods and offering glimpses of the Traunstein mountain.
