Hon Chen Shrine

Hon Chen Shrine, also known as Điện Hòn Chén, is a sacred religious site perched on a hill overlooking the Perfume River in Hue, Vietnam. The shrine is dedicated to the Cham goddess Po Nagar, later syncretized with the Vietnamese mother goddess Thánh Mẫu. Visitors approach by boat, adding to the sense of pilgrimage. The complex features colorful temples, altars laden with offerings, and intricate carvings. The atmosphere is deeply spiritual, with incense smoke curling around statues and the sound of chanting monks. Many local devotees come to pray for blessings, health, and prosperity.
