Marina City is a groundbreaking residential-commercial complex at 300 N. State Street, famous for its two 65-story cylindrical towers resembling corncobs. Designed by Bertrand Goldberg and completed in 1964, it was the first mixed-use development in the U.S. to combine apartments, parking, a marina, and retail. The towers feature a unique design with a central core and radiating balconies. Visitors can stroll along the riverwalk, dine at the on-site restaurants, or take in views of the Chicago skyline. The complex remains a vibrant symbol of modern urban living.
