The Cadillac Palace Theatre is a magnificent performing arts venue located at 151 W Randolph Street in Chicago's downtown Loop district. Opened in 1926, this opulent theater was designed by the renowned architectural firm Rapp and Rapp in a French Renaissance style, featuring a grand lobby with marble columns, crystal chandeliers, and ornate plasterwork. With 2,200 seats, it is one of the largest theaters in Chicago and is a key stop for pre-Broadway tryouts and national tours of major musicals and plays. The interior is a visual feast, with intricate murals, gold leaf details, and a stunning ceiling that evokes a starry night sky. Attending a show here is an experience in itself, the acoustics are excellent, and the intimate balcony seating offers great views. The theater is part of the Broadway In Chicago family, which also includes the CIBC Theatre and the Nederlander Theatre. Located in the heart of the Loop, it's surrounded by restaurants, bars, and other cultural attractions, making it a perfect evening out.
