The Stoning of the Devil, or Rami al-Jamarat, is a key Hajj ritual performed at three stone pillars in Mina. Pilgrims throw seven pebbles at each pillar, reciting prayers, to symbolize their rejection of temptation and evil. The ritual reenacts the actions of Prophet Abraham, who is said to have stoned Satan when tempted. Pilgrims gather at the Jamaraat Bridge to perform the stoning over three days, with the largest crowds on the first day. The experience is intense and spiritual, with millions of people united in a single act of faith.
