Baochu Pagoda

Baochu Pagoda stands on Baoshi Hill, a prominent landmark in Hangzhou's Xihu District. The slender, seven-story pagoda was originally built in the 10th century and has been rebuilt several times, with the current structure dating from the 1930s. Visitors climb a gentle path through bamboo groves and pine trees to reach the pagoda, which is especially beautiful at sunset when it glows against the sky. From the base, you can enjoy sweeping views of West Lake, the city skyline, and the surrounding hills. The pagoda itself is not open for climbing, but the hilltop area provides excellent photo opportunities. 历史背景

Baochu Pagoda was first built in 968 AD during the Northern Song dynasty to pray for the safe return of a prince. It has been destroyed and rebuilt multiple times; the current pagoda was reconstructed in 1933 using modern materials while retaining its historic appearance.
