People's Park is the heart of daily life in Chengdu, a sprawling green space where the city's leisurely pace is on full display. Visitors can wander past century-old banyan trees, watch impromptu dance performances, and join locals at the iconic Heming Teahouse for a bowl of jasmine tea. The park also houses the city's only remaining 'Matchmaking Corner,' where parents post marriage ads for their children.
