This 232-meter-long street is one of the best-preserved hutong in the city, dating back to the Ming Dynasty. Its name comes from its shape, which resembles a long tobacco pipe. Today, the street is a vibrant pedestrian-only lane filled with souvenir shops, art galleries, tea houses, and snack stalls. Visitors can browse for traditional crafts like Chinese knots, calligraphy brushes, and jade jewelry, or sample local treats such as candied hawthorn and Beijing yogurt.
