Who is it for? If you have already done the ticketed caves near town and want something quieter, or you like the idea of big underground spaces without long swims, Hang Tien is the right kind of different. If you have two days in Phong Nha and have not yet seen Paradise Cave or Phong Nha Cave, do those first: they are closer, cheaper to reach and easier to arrange. Hang Tien rewards the traveller who gives it the time it needs, and punishes the one who tries to squeeze it into a day already full of driving.
