Saint Basil's Cathedral, officially the Cathedral of the Intercession of the Most Holy Theotokos on the Moat, is a vibrant symbol of Russia. Its nine chapels, each topped with a uniquely shaped and colored onion dome, create a fairy-tale silhouette. Inside, visitors explore narrow corridors and small, richly decorated chapels adorned with 16th-century frescoes. The cathedral's whimsical exterior, often compared to a flame rising to the sky, makes it one of the most photographed buildings in the world.
