Ōzuka Kofun is a large keyhole-shaped burial mound dating from the Kofun period (3rd-6th centuries). This distinctive shape, a round rear section connected to a rectangular front, was reserved for elite members of society. Visitors can view the mound from a designated observation area, appreciating its scale and the engineering involved in its construction. The site offers insight into ancient burial customs and social hierarchy. Surrounded by a park, it's a pleasant spot for a stroll while contemplating Japan's prehistoric past.
