Dazaifu Tenmangū is a major Shinto shrine in Fukuoka, Japan, dedicated to Sugawara no Michizane, a revered scholar and deity of learning. Visitors walk through a grand entrance flanked by plum trees, which bloom spectacularly in early spring. The shrine's main hall, built in a distinctive architectural style, houses Michizane's spirit. Annual festivals like the Plum Blossom Festival and the Dazaifu Tenmangū Autumn Festival draw crowds.
