Osman Sagar Lake

Osman Sagar Lake, also known as Gandipet, is a man-made reservoir created in 1920 to supply drinking water to Hyderabad. Today, it's a popular weekend getaway for locals and tourists alike. Osman Sagar was built in 1920 by the last Nizam of Hyderabad, Osman Ali Khan, to prevent flooding and provide water to the city. The dam across the Musi River created this reservoir, which remains a key water source.
