The Coptic Museum in Cairo houses the world's most extensive collection of Coptic art and artifacts, spanning from the early Christian era to the Islamic period. Located within the grounds of the ancient Roman fortress of Babylon, the museum features beautifully carved woodwork, textiles, manuscripts, and stone carvings. The building itself is a masterpiece, with ornate ceilings and mashrabiya screens. Visitors gain insight into Egypt's Christian heritage and artistic traditions.
