Yellow Crane Tower

Yellow Crane Tower is a iconic pagoda-style tower located on Snake Hill in Wuhan, overlooking the Yangtze River. Rebuilt several times over centuries, the current structure dates from 1985 and stands 51.4 meters tall. The tower is a symbol of Wuhan and a must-visit for its cultural significance and stunning views. Visitors climb the five stories to see exhibits of poetry, paintings, and historical artifacts. The surrounding park features gardens, pavilions, and statues. From the top, you get a sweeping panorama of the Yangtze River, the Wuhan Yangtze River Bridge, and the modern cityscape. The site is especially beautiful at sunset when the tower is lit.

Originally built in 223 AD during the Three Kingdoms period, the tower has been destroyed and rebuilt many times. It was a favorite subject for poets and artists, including Cui Hao and Li Bai. The current structure was rebuilt in 1985 based on Qing dynasty designs.
