Wenshu Yuan Monastery, also known as Wenshu Temple, is one of the best-preserved Buddhist monasteries in Chengdu. Founded during the Tang Dynasty and rebuilt in the Qing Dynasty, it offers a peaceful retreat from the bustling city. Visitors can explore the Hall of the Great Hero, the Sutra Library, and the Thousand Buddhas Hall, which houses a bronze statue of the Buddha. Wenshu Yuan was first built during the Tang Dynasty (618–907) and later rebuilt in the Qing Dynasty (1644–1912). It is dedicated to Manjushri, the Bodhisattva of Wisdom, and has been an important center for Buddhist learning and practice.
