Starbucks Reserve Roastery

The Starbucks Reserve Roastery on Michigan Avenue is a coffee lover's paradise spanning five floors. Unlike a typical Starbucks, this flagship location is part theater, part laboratory, and part bakery. Upon entering, you're greeted by a towering copper cask and the aroma of roasting beans. Each floor has a distinct focus: the main floor features a massive art installation and the main bar; the second floor offers the Princi bakery with fresh Italian pastries; the third floor is the experiential tasting room; the fourth floor houses the Arriviamo cocktail bar; and the top floor is a rooftop terrace with city views. The roastery processes small-batch Reserve beans, and you can watch the roasting process through glass walls. Exclusive drinks like the Nitro Cold Brew with sweet cream or the Smoked Butterscotch Latte are only available here. The space is designed with reclaimed wood, marble, and copper, making it a destination for architecture buffs as well.

A bit of history

Opened in November 2019, this is the world's largest Starbucks at 35,000 square feet. It is part of Starbucks' Reserve Roastery concept, which began in Seattle in 2014 to showcase premium coffees and immersive brand experiences.
