Declaration House (Graff House)

Немного истории

In May 1776, Jefferson moved into the newly built brick house of bricklayer Jacob Graff Jr. Over 17 days in June, he drafted the Declaration in his second-floor study. The original house was demolished in the 19th century; the current reconstruction, built in 1975, stands on the original site and is part of Independence National Historical Park.
