Rizal Shrine

The Rizal Shrine in Manila is a reconstructed replica of the ancestral home of Dr. José Rizal, the Philippines' national hero. Located on General Luna Street within the historic walled city of Intramuros, the shrine is a museum dedicated to Rizal's life, writings, and martyrdom. The two-story building features period furniture, personal belongings, and original manuscripts, including pages from his novels 'Noli Me Tangere' and 'El Filibusterismo'. Visitors can see his bedroom, study, and the room where he was born. The museum also displays artifacts from his exile in Dapitan and his execution at Bagumbayan. The shrine is a place of reflection, surrounded by a tranquil garden with a statue of Rizal. It offers a deep dive into the intellectual and patriotic journey of a man who inspired a nation.
