The Petronas Twin Towers defined Kuala Lumpur's skyline and held the title of world's tallest building until 2004, and the twin design, joined by a double-decker skybridge, still looks futuristic decades on. Visitors ride up to the skybridge on the 41st/42nd floors and then continue to the observation deck on the 86th, with timed tickets sold in batches throughout the day.
The towers are most photogenic after dark, when the stainless-steel cladding lights up against the night sky, the park and reflecting pool at the base (KLCC Park) give the cleanest full-height view. Below the towers sits Suria KLCC, a large shopping mall, so the visit folds easily into an afternoon of air-conditioned browsing when the tropical heat outside is intense.

Немного истории
Completed in 1998 and designed by Argentine-American architect César Pelli, the towers were commissioned by the national petroleum company Petronas as a symbol of Malaysia's modernisation. Their floor plan is based on Islamic geometric patterns, and the skybridge connecting them is the highest two-storey bridge of its kind.
Частые вопросы
Do I need to book in advance?
Strongly recommended. Tickets are timed and limited per day, and walk-up availability is unreliable, especially in the afternoon.
What's the best time to go up?
Late afternoon into sunset gives you daylight and dusk views; then see the illuminated towers from the park below afterward.
Where's the best photo spot?
KLCC Park behind the towers, by the reflecting pool, it's the only nearby spot that fits both towers full-height, and it's stunning at night.
Is the skybridge the same as the observation deck?
No, the skybridge is the bridge linking the towers on the 41st/42nd floors; the observation deck is higher, on the 86th. Standard tickets include both.
